Back to school BBQ
Each year, the Indianola FFA chapter organizes a back-to-school BBQ for new students interested in FFA as well as returning members. The officers, along with a few other members, prepare a meal and extend invitations to all. Mr. Smith shares insights about FFA and the benefits of membership. This BBQ serves as an excellent opportunity to connect with new people and explore whether theFA journey is right for them.
Kids Costume contest
Each year at the Warren County Fair, the Indianola FFA chapter organizes a costume contest for children. Each member is matched with a family and takes on the responsibility of reaching out to them. Costumes are for all, including animals. The participating animals in this contest include cows, sheep, goats, and pigs.
Ag olimpics and Teacher Apreciacion
During National FFA Week, the Indianola FFA organizes a variety of activities. One of the highlights is the AG Olympics, where members compete in events like milk chugging, hay bale tossing, and cow pie eating. In addition to this, the chapter expresses gratitude to teachers by distributing thank-you snacks as a token of appreciation Finally, chapter officers host a member breakfast, waking up to prepare eggs, bacon, and pancakes for everyone to enjoy.
