​Smith grew up on a 500-acre row-crop farm in Newton, Iowa, where they also ran 80 head of registered cattle. He has a passion for agriculture and especially farming, showing and talking livestock, as well as the daily routine of the stock-show industry. Smith was heavily involved in 4-H & FFA growing up and has his American FFA Degree. In his free time, he enjoys being outside on the farm or hunting and fishing with friends and family. Smith also enjoys listening to music and podcasts when he has time or while driving.
