1939

The Indianola FFA Chapter was established November 9, 1939 with Mr. Thomas Anderson serving as the Agriculture teacher. The officer team included all males and a record of 31 members.

Facts from the year 1939

  • In 1939, the first national headquarters owned by the FFA was purchased in Alexandria, Virginia, 28.5 acres.

  • Franklin D. Roosevelt became the inaugural U.S. president to deliver a speech broadcast on television.

  • Additionally, the first air-conditioned automobile, a Packard, was invented.
